BOYD

Emily Boyd, originally from Seattle, WA, joined the Red Stars in 2018 as the 15th overall pick in the NWSL College Draft. After appearing in one game in 2020, Boyd went on loan to Danish Club HB Koge. Boyd was selected for the U.S. Women’s National Team in preparation for the 2016 U-20 FIFA World Cup. Boyd attended University of California, Berkeley where she broke the record for all-time saves (280+) and all-time shutouts (36). She also was the PAC-12 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2017.
