Red Stars Take Next Steps in Securing Jersey Sponsor, Hire SRS Partners as Sponsorship Agency

CHICAGO, IL. (Jan. 6, 2022) – The Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today that it has hired SRS Partners to assist the club in securing a new jersey front sponsor for the upcoming season. The announcement comes following the Red Stars’ finish as the runner-up in the 2021 NWSL Championship and the Red Stars re-signing of United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) players Tierna Davidson, Casey Krueger, Alyssa Naeher and Mallory Pugh to multi-year contracts with the team.

“The Red Stars organization is excited to have SRS Partners support us in identifying the right fit for our jersey partner,” said Vicky Lynch, Chief Business Officer for the Red Stars. “We know that the Red Stars offer a unique opportunity by delivering both a business and community focus for brands. We look forward to finding the progressive brand that will join us on the path of elevating women's sports and providing these world class athletes equitable opportunities both on and off the field.”

The relationship will see the Red Stars and SRS partners work together to identify potential partners who are able to capitalize on the exposure that comes with a presence on the team’s jersey front, both in Chicago and nationally across NWSL markets. The Red Stars also expect to see this partner deeply integrated into the game day and fan experience for Red Stars games, as well as into the team’s community efforts through its CRS Cares Foundation. In addition, the Red Stars recently announced local TV broadcast deals with an English language partner, WCIU, and a Spanish language partner, Univision Chicago, providing additional exposure for the club and its partners throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.

“The SRS team has deep roots in Chicago and across the sport of soccer,” said SRS Partners president and co-founder Seth Frankenthal. “We are thrilled to be working with the Red Stars given their rich history and leadership role within the NWSL. This opportunity goes beyond just impressions and visibility, providing an opportunity for a partner to align with the community, culture, and the support of women’s sports both today and for the next generation of soccer players.,

The Red Stars and SRS Partners will also be working to secure a sleeve patch partner on the team’s jersey.
