Tatumn Milazzo’s year of firsts continued in the season opener, subbing in at the half and making her first career regular-season appearance. Milazzo totaled 31 touches, eight duels, three tackles, and two clearances in the second half of Sunday night’s contest.
Casey Krueger played a full 90 minutes Sunday night, battling through an injury knock late in the game. Krueger led the team in touches with 67 and had an 80% success rate in duels, adding to her 36 passes (one off the team high), three clearances, and two interceptions on the defensive side of the field.
The Red Stars make their long-anticipated return in front of their fans this Saturday, May 22nd against NJ/NY Gotham. It will mark the first time Chicago will have fans in attendance since the 2019 NWSL semi-final and features a kit unveiling that fans won’t want to miss.
