International Starpower: Sunday’s matchup between Chicago and Orlando features rosters that have some of the world’s best players from across the globe despite both teams having players in the Olympics. Orlando comes to SeatGeek Stadium with three World Cup winners for the U.S. National Team in Sydney Leroux, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, and the Red Stars roster fellow World Cup champions Mallory Pugh and Morgan Gautrat. Chicago’s Bianca St. Georges also has international experience, having represented Canada earlier in the year.
Terrific Tatumn: Coming off the heels of one of the best games of the year (8.3 match rating, according to FotMob), Tatumn Milazzo has quietly put together an impressive debut NWSL season. Milazzo so far on the year has registered 14 clearances, 12 interceptions, a tackle success rate of 71%, and a pass accuracy rate of 60%.
Long Time Coming: The Red Stars and Pride matchup on Sunday will not only be the first time these two teams will play against each other this year, but also the first time in almost two years. The last time these two teams played each other was in Orlando on September 11, 2019 in a matchup that saw Chicago win 1-0 from a late Casey Krueger header in stoppage time.
