CHICAGO, Ill. (June 4, 2022) - The Chicago Red Stars beat OL Reign 1-0 behind a goal from Mallory Pugh, assisted on by rookie Sam Fisher.

GAME NOTES:
Continuing the pattern of young Red Stars players stepping up for the team, Samantha Fisher notched her first professional assist in the 46th minute when she slotted a ball to Pugh who was able to score.
Coming into the match, OL Reign was among the league leaders in shots on goal. Despite this, Chicago was able to out shoot the Reign nine to five, including six shots inside the box for Chicago compared to one from the Reign.
The combination of Naeher, Tatumn Milazzo, Zoe Morse and Kayla Sharples are the only players to play and start all six matches for the Red Stars. The group tallied their first shutout of the season today after coming close last match.
