Chicago, Ill. (March 5, 2022) – The Chicago Red Stars faced-off against the United States U-23 Women’s National team in the first match of the preseason tournament.
This match marks the first competitive match coached by the Red Stars’ new Head Coach Chris Petrucelli.
The club fielded two rookies, Sarah Griffth (Purdue University) and Jill Aguilera (University of Arizona) as starters in the match. They were joined by fellow rookies Regan Steigleder (Northwestern University), Amanda Kowalski (Butler University), Ava Cook (Michigan State), Samantha Fisher (Notre Dame) and Channing Foster (University of Mississippi).
The Red Stars’ next preseason match is Tuesday, March 8, at 7:00 p.m. CT against OL Reign.
